In loving memory: Amandy Strzempek

Amandy After a courageous battle against cancer, our friend and team member Amandy Strzempek lost her life on Sunday at the young age of 37. Her death and that of many others at a young age, reminds us that we have to continue the fight against cancer in whichever way we can. Amandy was looking forward to joining us on our trip to Ireland this summer. We know she'll still be with us in spirit. Her smile will be missed by her family, cycling friends and everyone who had the pleasure of meeting her. (read more...)

In loving memory: Fred Hoyle

Our dear friend and cycling team member Fred Hoyle, passed away yesterday morning after an 11 month fight with cancer. He was only 47. When we went to races, Fred was by far the most willing person to help someone else, so we could get the best result for our team. He just loved the camaraderie that we had and to be part of that. This past summer he mentioned over and over that he wished to come down from his home in upper New York, to ride with us. It sadly never was to be. Fred, we'll miss you. (read more...)

Dutch Wheelman Cycling Tours

In the summer of 2015 a trip is planned for the wine region of Bordeaux. The dates are July 9th thru the 18th. We will travel from Bordeaux to Lacanau-Ocean, which is at the Atlantic Ocean. From there we will travel thru the Medoc area to Queyrac. The Medoc is the prime wine area and home to hundreds of wineries. Among the famous is the Rothshild winery, which we plan on visiting. From there we will take a ferry across the Gironde to the walled city of Blaye. Our next stop is St Emilion, one of the most picturesque towns in the region, where we will find an underground church, cut out of the limestone. From there we will continue to Cadillac, where the wine will change. For more information you can contact us at 570-784-6524 or visit our tour page at http://tours.dutchwheelman.com
